Hjellvik Triathlon

The policeman Esben Bø has for several years supported JOINs work in DR Congo. He is the driving force that annually organizes Hjellvik Triathlon outside Bergen in Norway. Recently it was also approved as a National Triathlon Championship for the norwegian police force. Through contributions from the participants and Espen has JOIN been able to build new homes for many war raped women.

Sexual violence against girls and women in DR Congo have an extent and is marked by a brutality that is almost unimaginable. Such violence constitutes a serious violation of girls' and women's fundamental human rights. Many die or suffer lasting health problems as a result from the abuse they are subjected. Meanwhile, many of the victims are expelled from their families and their communities, which means that they also lose social relations and protection which is essential for their future welfare. I support JOIN good forces because they work for girls and women who are victims of sexual violence in Congo.
